Parents/Carers from a public primary school form a band
The bands practice and perform ("compete") in the Battle at the PBOB partner venue of their area
Proceeds generated are donated to music and performing arts programs
Revenue and exposure is created for music venues

PBOB 2024 BAttle Season had 26 local primary schools participating in 7 Battles
The Prince of Wales Bandroom, The Northcote Social Club, Sooki Lounge, Lucky 13 Garage and the Corner Hotel are the current PBOB partner venues
Each band plays 15 minutes sets
A judging panel of guest artists and music industry shareholders watch, deliberate and chose 1st and 2nd place

The funds are distributed pro-rata of each school community’s attendance, the more tickets sold for your school, the more money gets donated back to you
Depending on production costs, the school will see a "return" of between 60% and 75% of the ticketing revenue generated.

The funds are solely used for the music and performing arts programs
The schools are hence rewarded for their efforts in promoting the event and are motivated to continue to do so, build community and increase attendance and interest in future battles

Extras: the school now has a band to perform at the Fête, Trivia Night, neighbouring school Fêtes etc... AND it is a fantastic way to model the joy of music performance to the younger generation! WIN - WIN - WIN
